Dorking unveiled new rugby posts for the first fifteen show pitch before the game with Tring on Saturday. The new posts had been provided to the Big Field Club by Surrey Rugby and The Rugby Football Union initiative to improve the equipment for grass roots rugby.

Dorking’s President Ted Ivens said: “Our previous goal posts on the main pitch were put up in the 1990s and were beginning to show their age somewhat. It was a very happy coincidence that we were able to benefit from the RFU’s Scheme which came along just at the right time for us.” The new posts were officially opened by Chris Wallace, Chairman of Tring Rugby Club and John Douglas a member of the RFU’s management board and member of Dorking RFC. Also pictured along with Ted Ivens are Shaun Grady and Oliie Cummings the Club Chairman and First Fifteen Captain and Brad Webber from the visiting Tring squad.
